pooface meanie wants a friend

my roommate and i are considering buying a friend for our rather cocky, rather mean, always delightful lizard friend, james dean.

he's very very spoiled, and likes his attention.

now here's the question. we're definitely looking forward to the reptile expo on the 11th, and we were interested in getting a female.

obviously, we'd house them seperately, especially if we end up getting a baby, or a juvie and love them both unconditionally... but here's my question.

how would i go about socializing a mean not very friendly dragon who's completely the king of our household with a new friend? is there anything we should be concerned with?
