i dont even know if you can probe them but i do know that the easiest way is to look at the underside of its back legs. if they have little bumps on them it is a male. if there are no bumps it is a female.

Probing is not the only way to sex a bearded dragon (and not recommended as it can hurt the dragon), they are actually quite easy to sex, but I would wait till they are atleast 6 months old. The following link http://www.dachiu.com/sexing.html from dachiu has pics to help you sex your dragon. A male dragon will have two bulges at the base of the tail with a valley inbetween them, and a female will have one bulge in the middle at the base of the tail or nothing at all. I hope this helps, and if you are still having problems sexing your dragon try posting a pic of the area I described and me or someone else on here should be able to help you figure out what sex you have.

In my opinion, you should not probe beardies, it's easy enough to tell without going to that extent plus you don't risk causing any internal damage. It's much easier to tell when they are between sub-adults and adults, but there is a way to tell even when they are babies. The link posted above is a very reliable source-Robert and Vickie Dachiu are great people with an unbelievable collection of beardies-I speak from experiences dealing with them: ). Anyway, hope this helps.
