LOL. There is nothing wrong with your frog. In fact, you have observed a very cool behavior. Certain types of frogs, all of them ambush predators, will twitch their toes to appear as grubs, as a lure to their prey. Kinda like caudal luring in snakes.

Hmm, the back thing may be troubling, though I've never flipped a healthy chaco, so it's possible that they are just too fat to do it, but I don't think so. Has it been eating well? Have you fed it any wild bugs or anything else out of the usual? Are you temps correct? Have you been using untreated tap water or bottled water for anything with him, including misting?

we need more information to figure out the problem. When did he/she last eat? do you gutload and dust prey items? what are normal activities for your frog? (mine just sits there and the only movement is eye blinking) Are there other problems present such as lack of stools, abnormal stools, etc? Unfortunatly amphibians often get sick and die without the owners ever knowing what went wrong.

My first thought is metabolic bone disease Not really sure what the symptoms would look like in a frog, and you dont give enough info to tell for sure. Do you use calcium supplements? With or without D3? Do you supply UV light? How old is it, and do you feed only bugs, or rodents too? If rodents, what size and how often?
