tarantula life span

I am curious as I am considering purchasing in the near future, what is the average life span of a tarantula if cared for properly?

Hi Rikki,
It really depends on which species you get. Some of the Aphonopelma spp and Brachypelma spp will live 20+ years. Most species will live around 10 years though. Remember that this only implies for females as the males have a much much shorter life span.
Hope that helps
