Yeah i understand that, though do you like (or tolerate) being taken outside, around the house, to the LPS and short trips in the car and such?

outside yes.. theres many pics opf balls outside... around the house, yes.. i always take my animals out and about, i dont see a prob..

in a car im really not to sure.. that may be a little stressful and if you do have to move them in a care ( vet, moving, ect) id suggest a pillow case ( snake bag)

but what is LPS.. im kinda confused at that

I think you should by a dog if you want a "pet" for those sort of things.

Think of a snake along the same lines as a pet fish. Would you cart the poor thing around with you everywhere just because its fun for you?

Hmmm.....

its ok to take snakes outside and let them crawl around on the ground, i think its good for the snakes to stretch their...scales. as for taking them any where the only place mine go is the vet and so far i have taken 3 snakes to the pet store to show to my friends that work there sence they love snakes but i keep it as less stressful as i can for them and customers who dont like snakes. the snakes stay in a bag until i bring them out and its only for a few minutes and then soon enough were back home. im sure its a little confusing for them but i dont think it very stressful and no one has been to the pet store more than once. i wouldnt want to take my snakes any where with too many people because there are more snake haters than snake lovers and they are not afraid to call the cops, its happend to people i know.

Thank you for your helpful reptiles. First off, I was asking a questions, I do not want a snake to simply take them places with me, I have kept snakes in the past. Second, I never said I wanted a oet for those sorts of things, I enjoy the providing an animal with a great home while enjoying the reptile hobby.

When I worked at a pet store people would bring their snakes in with them. It didn't happen alot, but it was usually not a problem. But I would be careful when taking your snake out in public. Be responsible, and use common sense in any environment that you take your snake to, and keep it to a minimum.

I would never take anyone of my animals outside my home, other then the backyard and such. If you take it to a pet store, you have a great risk of acquiring some of the diseases the animals may have, such as mites. Better off keeping it seperated from every other reptile.

i was just about to say what bartman said...

when it comes to going outside.. i think the ability to stretch would make up for stress.. but a car ride ect ect... probably a little to stressful

I'm gonna second what everyone else has said. Keep stress to a minimum, both for the animal and for the general public. I've seen people walking around with boas resting on their shoulders, and I enjoy seeing the animals, as I'm sort of a snakeaholic, but the average person, unfortunately, isn't as comfortable, especially with large snakes. That's my opinion. Minimal stress is best.

I agree, I wouldnt take the animal off my property unless for a breeding loan going to someone else's house or to go to the vet.
