Osprey Harassment

For the past couple of days I've been watching a local osprey nest near the intercoastal. It seems that I'm not the only one aware of the nest though, a certain murder of crows have also taken notice and they are not at all happy about the new kids.

These were a bit out of range but I thought they were kind of interesting...





Mom does a fly over from time to time just to see what I'm up to...

Cool pics!! We saw something similar to that years ago, but it happened to be between a great blue heron and an osprey. The osprey had a nest and the heron got too close, so she attacked it in mid air. We watched it for about 10 minutes or so, until the heron eventually got away. Too bad we didn't have a camera at the time. :bounce:
