panther digging to lay eggs

Hi all, I have a question regarding my female panther. SHe starts to dig a hole and then stops and goes back on the branch.....will she continue digging that hole or is it scrapped? I'm a little worried that she does not know what to do?

what are signs of eggboundness? Should I be feeding her still or leave all distractions out?

Id leave her be some times they dig test holes days b4 they lay signs of being eggbound include im just recalling things here i dont know if they are all right but sitting on branches back arched up like they are howeling at the moon is one, constant pasing for extended periods, stressed colors, eyes sinking. hope that helps,

oh if she is not diggin and up acting normal id treat her like normal but if she is near the bottom scoping it out id leave her be I have even coverd a chams cage with a towel to give them more privacy sometimes they get extra spazzy when they need to lay

Chameleons will often dig test holes before digging the hole that they will lay the eggs in. This is fine as long as she isn't abandoning the hole because she sees you watching her. If she sees you watching and abandons the hole often enough, she could become eggbound.

Signs of eggbinding include: eyes closed and sunken in, weak appearance, sitting on the floor of the cage, has given up digging, or digs a hole and turns around in it as if laying eggs and then fills the hole in...but there were no eggs laid. Once they are heading towards eggbinding, there isn't much time to act to save them from dying.

If she's up in the branches its okay to feed and water her...just don't leave any insects in the cage. They can bite her or chew holes in her while she's in the stupor-like state while she's laying the eggs, or they can chew at the eggs.

Good luck with her!

Is it possible that the ground temperature is not suitable for laying?
