Protocol for Outside Keeping

I just wanted to go over some specifics.

I live in Los Angeles, CA. The daytime highs right now are in the 70s getting up to 82 and the lows are anywhere from 56-60 degrees roughly. Usually in the morning there is some fog that burns off by 11 or 12.

I have a screened enclosure i could keep my 16 month old veiled on.

Are the temperatures at night healthy for my chameleon, I know they can withstand pretty low temperatures. Size wise my cham. is good, I would hope he would eat more and fill out. I use 1gallon milk jug feeders and I have a misting system that can be used. Do I have to add a basking spot light outside? What if its going to drizzle in the morning? Anyone with any experience please chime in. Thanks.

Veileds to my knowledge can experience temps as low as 60 without an adverse affects. Possibly lower, however I would not go below 65 at night, but I'm sure your cham will be fine.

As for the basking lamp, I don't think it is necessary for outside, I could be wrong. As long as you have some shade and cover in the cage, and an area where the cham may sit uncovered to bask in the sun, it should be fine. I also beleive you should have the cage half in and half out of sunlight if possible.
