i thought this is supposed to be a forum to help each other when they have questions, im coming out and saying this now because this is not the first time i post a question and everybody ignores it. i love snakes just as much as the rest of you, why is it that eveybody has time to comment on a picture of a snake and could not respond to my question. i know alot about snake, but when i see something wierd that ive never seen before it freaks me out, i know that any one of you would do the same. so please take 2 minutes and respond if you know the answer

Did you check his cage?
Alot of times when they relieve themselves this is common,[ tensed up, and squirting noise].
I don't claim to be an expert, but i've dealt with burms for over 13 years, and would be happy to help answer any questions/concerns you have.

Maybe they didn't know the answer? Would you perhaps rather people gave you wrong answers or make stuff up just to reply for the sake of replying? That's the EXACT OPPOSITE purpose of this site.
Furthermore, I would say that less than 1% of the people here (or any internet forum) are actually qualified to give you an answer that you can be confident about.

If the snake has any flem that comes out when it does that "sneeze" thing, then take it to the vet, it will require injections if it has a respitory infection.
Ryan - part of the 1% that is qualified to answer the question, as I just healed a burm with the exact same symptoms by doing what I am suggesting.

No worries mate. All that matters is the health of your snake, and it seems like you're doing everything possible, which really, is better than 75% of most snake keepers, especially with Burms.
Keep the faith man. I had an adult female Ball Python look like she was doing convulsions and her mouth was gaping and she was twisting around like she was having a seizure. Turns out, she had a sliver in the side of her mouth and she was just trying to get rid of it, LOL! Sometimes, it looks worse than it actually is, probably because we're so used to snakes just sitting there, motionless, doin' nothing, ha ha!
Cheers bro.

one other thing to think about: substrate. if you are using a dusty sort of substrate (like carefresh, which i use), you may have gone a bit too long since changing it, and the resulting dust is causing you burm to sneeze. if you suspect an RI, a good way to be sure is to listen to his breathing with a stethoscope (i borrow one from a doctor friend, you could just hold him up to your ear), if you hear gurgling, weezing or congestion, you've got an RI. you may want to listen to one of your other snakes for comparison if you dont know what to listen for. the other sure way is to open up the mouth and check for mucus or redness/irritation. remember that a sick snake may not show any outward signs until it dies, and may continue to feed. a sneeze may mean nothing, but better safe than sorry.
elena: part of 1% (there must be more) qualified to answer your questioned, since i'm a rehabber and have dealt with many an RI.

LOL, you know you love your snake to much when they sneeze and you start freaking out(no offence ment), but when your kid sneezes you only say bless you, lol! Just thought that was funny.
