Ackie Substrate

What is the best ackie substrate? How deep should it be? And should you spray it or something to keep it moist?
Im using a mixture of soil and sand atm

Dig up some dirt from outside. if the enclosure is properly ventilated misting won't be needed too often. I give my ackies about 15 inches of dirt

oh no, we aren't going to get into this again are we?

There is a massive thread on this already. It will apply to your ackies as well. Do search and read that. You won't get a straight answer, but you will get the two sides of the story and make your own decision.
