Love at first sight...

I first saw this girl at the petstore about 2 weeks ago, and I was blown away by the pink on her -- after asking the guy at the store where she came from, all I got out of him was that she had come from a "local guy" named Clayton. I went on a little manhunt trying to find this guy, because I really wanted to get a boa from that litter (without having to pay the $250 that the store was asking for her ), but my search came up empty. Nobody had heard of him. So... back to the petstore I went a week later, rather expecting that she would be gone (since the other 2 that had come from the same guy had sold within a couple of days), but hoping that she wouldn't be. I walked up to the tank that she had been in, only to see a spotted python instead of her. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured I could at least try to leave my name and number with the store in case they happened to get any more in from this guy... only when I went up to the guy who runs the reptile dept and said "so the boa's gone, eh", he told me that he'd actually just moved her into the bigger cage that the other boa that they'd had in stock had been in So, knowing I had to have her, I asked if they might be interested in a trade for some geckos I had for sale -- thankfully he said yes, and I was able to go in and pick her up the next day

So anyways, that's the long and rambling story as to how I came to have this girl... lol. I'm super happy with her -- can't wait to see how she looks as she grows since she's got so much pink already at such a young age!

she is wonderful. i'm so happy for you that you got her. i'v fell in love with so many animals in pet stores only to think about them for hours or days and when i cave to go buy them, there always gone. which is probably a good thing, dont need to get EVERY animal i like. good luck with her.

Congrats Jen. Her saddles are smokin', Well I guess now that you have her you don't have a need for those other two you have comin'......so I'll be a nice guy and take them off your hands when they arrive.
