adding a light to construction

I am looking into hetforhumans cage building instructions and they are great. But i was wondering how ya'll put a light in it? And can i make it taller if I want or is there a reason for the height being minimal? I only have two snakes, a ball and a corn so i don't need to stack, I have been using a 40 gal. tank but it seems every one here is against it so I would like to switch.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....

Hey,
Check out http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/dcage08.shtml pages 8 and 9 show you how to mount lights in the cage make sure you put a "cage" around the light so the snakes cant burn themselves. You can make the cage taller if you wanted to. It doesnt really matter as long as its not to tall that the cage isnt hard to heat

Thanks alot , both helped me out. If you don't mind me asking why shouldn't ball's be kept in aquariums if they are healthy and happy? By no means do I want to start any aggrivation around here, i was just wondering.

its because its way to hard to keep up proper humidity.. and the fact of security.. a ball will just be alot happier in a wood enclosure or a rubbermaid...

Does putting up back ground on the glass, (rear and sides) help untill i move him?

i really dont know.. its mor or less for humidity and heat loss.. you should put a damp towel or something on top to help with humidity
