What do you mean by cylindrical? They may have a corkscrew-like shape to them, and since everyones snot is not the same colour, gold is an option. The only way to tell for sure, is to post a pic.

My dad breeds birds; when he was over once he asked me to do a search on the net on a particular bird. The bird was called a "Ruffled C**k". Well, need I say more; you know what showed up.
