1st clutch!

for the last 2-4 days now the female has been runing around and digging frantically so i put a pile of dirt in the corner of the tank and dampened it...

went 2 skoool came back and she had layed 20 eggs i thought she was done and she layed 4 more i got a 24 of eggs i have a home made incubator and it stayes at 83.1-83.9 up and down but neaver goes out of that range !!!! i would just like to know eny procautions i should worry about thanks!!!

Just keep an eye on the humidity and the condition of the eggs, for example anything from collapsing due to lack of hydration or molding. With that said, do not open the container too often, as you are letting in a rush of cool air every time you do so.

will the eggs ever get hard.. or will they always stay leathery.. and how long do i have to keep the babys for until they are ready to go?

Congrats on the 1st clutch!!!

Like it was said before, just keep an eye on them to make sure they are well hydrated and not moldy. Other than that just keep an eye on the temp and don't move them at all and they should be fine. The eggs will harden up a bit and they babies will all break out by themsleves, don't try to help them out as they will more than likely die if they can't get out themselves. If you are planning on selling them, I'd suggest making sure they are all healthy and eating properly, around 4-6 weeks. And of course, good luck.

you should open your eggs every day to let air in. i have two clutches in an incuabtor right now, and one clutch hatched a week ago! it takes a couple of weeks for the eggs the harden. Close to when the babies are going to hatch you will notice the eggs shrink a bit
