So it begins...

First clutch of Colubrids is "on route". They just all got moss in their nesting boxes yesterday as quite a few just had their "prelay sheds" & the rest are in shed. Another couple dozen to go for round 1. This girl is a 2002 & this is her first year. she was the first snake that I ever "heldback" & is "Lil Scarlett". Her Mom "Scarlett" is due anytime soon also. This girl didn't even do a prelay shed. I hate when they do that or don't do that Mark

Snakes love the damp spagnum moss to lay in. Just about every female has been in their box since. Humid hide helps the prelay shed & the moss provides a great temporary egg medium until I snatch them. Bad thing about the moss is that the snakes love to crap in it, as they do their nesting boxes in general. They figure everything that comes out of their butt should end up there or something LOL. She was bred to both an Amel Striped & Anery Striped males BTW THX Mark
