How to be a pain in the a$$ of a customer...
Hi ppl, I am about to get my 1st cbb female ball python (a neonate) and I dont wanna forget a single topic about the new lil girl, so I was wondering what can i ask the breeder about her. Things like birth, sheding, feeding dates comes to my mind right now but I am afraid I could be missing any important info, so please help me bugging this poor breeder....
Thanks, Martin

Other things that I usually enquire about are, in no particular order:
Any regurge problems?
Any "deposit" problems?
You mentioned a breeder, so wc is obviously not an issue, which is good. I think that's all I can think of for now. And enjoy.

how about feeding.. what are they feeding on and how often.. rats i believe are the better choice.. but dont ask me im a lizzard guy not a snake guy..
what about some personal questions..
how long have you been breeding and keeping.
pics of the parrents ( if possible)
how long have you been in business
health gaurentee
and ask how they can be contacted if theres a concern or problem...
and ask some sinple housing questions, just to see if there just trying to make a sale...
imo.. if there willing to answer all these questons then they care and there willing to work with you.. you should have no problems

LOOK at the snake. Forget the questions, the snake will tell you more about it's overall health and condition better than any breeder could.
Open mouth?
Retained shed or eyecaps?
Plump? Can you see the spine?
Curious? Does he run through your fingers when held?
Muscular?
Alert?
Bad scales?

What mykee said, those are the big things to look for but another thing I've learned is important.
What method do they use to feed. Does he eat ft, pk, live, stunned, will he eat off the floor, does he need to have it dance for him before he strikes, will he eat if left overnight with a food item. One snake I'm getting has to be offered live then you have to remove the mouse kill it and leave it with him and he will eat, any other way of offering and he won't touch it so that is important info to me since otherwise I could go months before figuring out what it takes to get him to eat.
Rat eaters are worth it to pay a little extra for since I have found that my rat eaters never skip a meal, and go for it with gusto!!
