Lizards out, are snakes? (Central VA)

I live in central Virginia and it's been about 68F today. I stepped out on my porch where my hot tub is and saw a couple of lizards. Does this mean there might be snakes around or is it still early?

Yes I know the picture sucks. Still can't get the hang of close-ups with the macro. I think I snapped it before I got within range. Thought he might run.

I'm in Rustburg VA. It's quite a ways to you and you might get bored hanging with someone my age
