Almond leaves in substrate?

I was wondering if anyone knows if these are safe to mix into the soil of a red eye setup. I am going to be getting a new tank ready for my guys this weekend and want to put some leaf litter in there but wanted to know if this stuff was safe first.

Anyone know?

Matt

I believe they will work fine. Many dart froggers use these if I remember correctly, though I have personally never used them. Magnolia leaves and oak leaves work as well.
