Thumbs up goods signs for herping this summer

well i went over to my dads house on sunday(thats where i do my herping) and did some scouting around for summer. i looked in two abandoned cars that are on his property and found three or four different snake skins. they look like black rats to me but im not sure. while i was there i also found a big rock pile in the woods and i spread the rocks out seperatly( i hope that was a good idea). i found a few new hollowed out trees and some other things that should be good hiding spots.

So after all this it looks like maybe ill actually find a snake there this summer and not get shutout like i did last summer( im a terrible herper lol)

ANY tips are greatly appreciated as i will really need them.

Sounds great. Hope to see pics of all the stuff you find. Not sure just how big the rocks are, but it might be a good idea to leave some bunched together. We seem to do good when we set out stuff that has several layers. Like a piece of carpet folded a few times and not just flat. Same with tin or boards-- a few layers.
Good luck!

thanks crimsonking. the rocks werent very big but if i left them together and there was a snake in there i would never be able to catch it because it would slither to the bottom and get away.

do you guys think those abandoned cars are hot spots?( im guessing they are because i found the skins in there and they get really hot)
