Feeding, general question

Ok, it's been a long time since I've owned any snake a real long time. My redtail at 21 inches ate a small mouse 2 days ago and seems like she may still be hungry. Can I feed her again? Will she ignore the food if she's not hungry? Any input is greatly apreciated.

if she is under a year old you can feed her every 5-7 days. if you feed her any sooner you can cause her to regurg. regurg is very bad for a snake. i know my BP would eat everyday if i would let him

feed your snake a small rat...every 8 days and when she starts eating med rats feed her every 2 weeks....Don't feed her whenever she is hungry..alllot of snakes would take food every day of the year but it just isn't good for them...Connor

generally if you see a little buldge in there belly there good for a week. you would be fine if there is no buldge and its a BCI, would definatly avoid over feeding with BCC as they most likely will regurge, and as said before..really not good..

in fact best to not feed another at all
just feed larger next time if needed & as Connor said start feeding rat pups asap..
cheers
Ryan

A 'little bulge' is underfeeding a boa constrictor. Unless they have regurge problems, there is no reason not to feed it 1.5x its girth once a week until it's 2 years old or so. You should be able to see the bulge distinctly from 15 feet away.
