Hilde,

You're pics are great, and I hope your snakes do well for you. They do look pretty interesting with that pale color. Just for comparison, you can see the different colors of my house snakes.

Thanks Hilde! The "green" phase varies in color from a dark charcoal to a dark olive sort of color depending on where they are in their shed cycle it seems.

Years ago, my first house snake was so dark she looked black- very striking- and I've been looking for a replacement ever since. When I saw the green phase last year, I had to have a pair. I was hoping to breed them later this year and then the female escaped. One of the cats got into the snake room and knocked over the cage, while I was out of town. So now I'm looking for another female green to raise up... It's been 3 months since she disappeared, and I've nearly given up hope of finding her.

They are great little snakes, and very easy to keep!
