stupid question

OK this has got to be the stupidest question asked but I hey I got to ask. I've had king snakes and balls and all of them have pooped wherever they wanted in their enclosure, but my boe is weird. I've had him a month and he's gone twice. Both times he has gone in his water bowl. Is this something they do or is it something that just happened because he might have just been in his dish for a soak. Makes for easier cleaning though.

It's not a stupid question at all. We have a female boa who poops in her water dish 95% of the time, so it's definately not unheard of. We have a burm that as soon as he gets in the bathtub for a soak, almost always has a huge poop in there, so it is fairly normal and it does for sure make for easier clean up.....again not a stupid ? whatsoever.............Allison

My large female boa 95 % of the time goes in her water dish, unfortunately she flips it over right after so it doesn’t help in the cleanup. My male always goes 95 % of the time in the front left corner. My favorite are my PTS (not snakes but still on topic) all 3 of them live in a 4x2x6 cage and they all go in the from left corner on the floor, or in the large water bowl. That makes a huge different in cleaning because lizards go much more often then snakes. The pythons seem to have no set patterns.

LOL....lostwithin, my adult female ball does the same thing. Deficates in the waterbowl then knocks over the water bowl almost every time. Unfortuneatly the wood is not sealed so i have a hell of a cleanup. I got to get myself on that and seal it.
