The weather forcast
Has everyone heard that Central Ontario is expecting a major snow storm tonight? They said up to 20cm of snow!! I hope it wont interfear with anyones travel plans to the show tommorow. I myself am worried about what the road will be like at 5:00 in the morning when I plan on leaving. Lets pray that the weather man is wrong!

I can't believe it either! We don't get that much snow in a good old fashioned mid winter storm. What's up with this mid-November blizzard stuff?????
Guess I'll be leaving by 6 a.m. to get there on time. I've got several people itching to pick up reserved critters - can't disappoint them after all this time waiting.
True Herpers will get there if at all humanly possible, right?

we drove into toronto late afternoon early evening. the road conditions were bad and sound like they were getting worse. the 401 was covered in black ice from past oshawa almost to ajax. (thats where we got off the 401) tires were spinning at 5km on the flats...
take some extra time and leave earlier, leave lots of room for the car infront of you... you don't wanna crash on the way to get some snakes and not get there at all. and take your time getting home, you don't wanna crash after you get your snake and have him/her freeze to death.
it took us 4 hours to do a 2.5 hour trip so that gives you an idea what the roads were like today (saturday) and we haven't had the worst of the storm yet.

Sounds like a typical Manitoba November... Drive safely.
That cooler idea rocks. I did that in the fall when I spent a few days in the mountains on my way home from Red Deer.
Have a great show and post a ton of pics!
Peace

It's not like you get more snow there it snows once and then blows back and forth across the prarries. I don't miss the prarrie ice cold winds though.
