The Big Show and my dissapointment
**Edit, I suppose this should have been in the general forum, but I WAS looking for a Ball at the show .........please move this if you like. Thanks Shawn **
Well, here it is, I went to the "Big Show" with a wallet of cash I had begged borrowed and the other. Looking of course like the rest of the free world for a big ole female ball python. Anyways as luck would have it, I got called out to work(I am an army guy) Thursday night at 9pm and never got off until 10am Sunday, so there went my plans of leaving at 0700 hrs to get there for opening. But I did make it later...........
So my wife and I get there and look what she spent all my Ball Money on!! LOL That'll learn me good! This is my wifes new project, she actually got 2 but I only have a good picture of one.
I have to say these are the "cutest" lil fellas I have seen.

Well, time to start saving for the April show!!
Oh ya, to all the PCPC Peeps, what a great show and turn out, I met MattK and several other sSnakes.com people. I think we should all have name tags for the next one with our sSnakess name on it . It was very cool to see the people i did though!
I just wished they used both floors and spread out the displays a tad, it was bumper to bumper in there !!

Shawn, maybe it turned out for the best, you would never have found a "big 'ole female ball python" for anywhere near the price of two cresties.

big female ball pythons are never for sale at the show (or if they are, they would probably be $1000). You need to arrange them WAY before hand, and that's if you are lucky enough to find one!

LOL I was using that as an example of what I could have spent all my loot on instead of buying the boss a couple of little runt Cresties.
The post was actually meant to show off the crestie and say what a great time the show was, just in my own sick little sarcastic way, so stop spoiling my fun
Beside every married guy knows that letting her buy stuff at this show just loosened the reigns a bit for next show. Or other in between purchases

We got there pretty early. My wife found a nice young female bp with a nice lonnngggg stripe down the back. Luckily she bought it pretty soon after we got there. All of the female bps were sold by the time we left.
Someone was selling a young female anthill python there, for a lot less than I would have expected. I gave in to temptation and bought her! Now to find her a mate...

Ya, I found it slim pickings when it came to bp's. I guess the fall is better for bp's (new hatchlings). I really wanted to get a het for pastel or albino. I was so disappointed, that when I got home I went and got myself another GTP. There so addicting! hehehe
Cheers

Pastel is co-dom, that means the het version itself is a morph, like pastel. But if you breed two co-dom hets (Pastel x Pastel) you have a 25% chance of producing a Super Pastel, so Pastel is het for Super, but still a morph of it's own.

Oh crap, I see what you mean. haha.. I'm more of a chondro guy, but I want to get into bp's a little more. I have a normal now, but would like to have a nice morph. I would like to get hets and produce my own someday. I read all that stuff about co-dom at the NERD site. I guess that part didn't sink in. hehe. Thanks for clarifying.
I know this is the bp forum, but this is my new Biak. Hope you like.
Cheers Jamie

Fantastic except as I mentioned that big female Ball riding around on "that girls" (who was she?) shoulders all day didn't fall into my pocket.
I can't wait for the next one, I just hope they use all the available space to open it up a tad.
