Question Breeding-How often?

How often can you breed ball pythons? Is it harmful to the females to breed them every year?

Some say you can breed succesive years no problem, I think it depends on the female and your husbandry skills. I have heard that after a female gives birth she will eat like crazy, so you should have no problem getting the weight back on her and into good breeding health. HOWEVER, like all Ball feeding habits..................who knows for sure with every girl?

If your female feeds well and has the required weight she will inevidably decide for heself. Breeding can also trigger females to breed as well.

I have only had 3 breeding seasons so far and I have had several females give me viable eggs every year so far.
