Ever watch and wonder about the Uplander commercial?

I'm sure we've all seen the TV commercial for the Uplander (what is it, GM? Chevy? whatever brand, I'm not really into cars).... the commercial with the cricket?
It's chirping and driving the guy crazy to the point where he's got to find it. He looks in every nook and cranny, every storage space and compartment in the car to find it.
Know which commercial I'm talking about?

Raise your hand if you had to watch it a dozen times before you realized the cricket chirping was really in the commercial, not background noise in the room you're sitting in?

**Raising my hand**

And another thing ...... is it my imagination, or is that a female cricket they show? I swear I can see an ovipositor when they first show it sitting on the dashboard. At the very least, I don't see any wings so even if it a male, how does it manage to chirp?

It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

Has anyone been able to tell if it's a male cricket they show? I'm still voting female.

It's a Mitsubushi. If one was chirping in my Jeep it would feel like home. The commercial that really has me shaking my head is the Nissan Pathfinder commercial where the jump in the river somewhere in the Midwest US and see a Boa. They run out of the water screaming. Did someone lose a pet? I run into the river hoping it was a female boa. TB
