beard color
I was wondering how long beard color usually takes to come in. My female Bearded from Dachiu who had MBD when I got her that's now 7 months old is now finally getting some color in her beard. My other dragon is basicly a normal, sandfire yellow x an almost white patternless mother. So the only color he gets in his is black when he sees the female across the room. But after my girls recent shed her beard is starting to get really orange at the bottom, about how long do you think it will take to get a full orange beard? Her head recently turned bright orange too. She had no orange before that, just reds, and lavender.
She's a sandfire red/gold x red flame

Hey Beaner,
It really depends on the particular dragon, I have seen colour start to develop from a few weeks to a few years. Keep in mind that just because she is showing certain signs of certain colours, it does not necessarily mean this colour will intensify in time. I hope that helped.

Ok, thanks I was just wondering what the average was but I guess it's quite vast. I see dragons at shows with bright orange beards, and bright green and black beards. I just hope one of my dragons gets one. Love em' just the same

many BDs do not color up fully until they are 6 months to a year old, some even longer.
