sahara sand viper(Avicenna - Viper)

hey,
I was wondering if anyone was keeping Cerastes vipera?
If you do: what are your expreriences with it?
And most of all(because I don't find a lot of info on this subject),how is the venom?I have 3 vipera aspis and one site says that they are less venomous then my vipera's...While a different site says they are very dangerous.I would like some very clear info if possible.
Maybe dr. Brain fry knows more?
I thank you all
Cheers
Willem

hi willem, i don´t keep them ut I know that they can be a pain in the *** to get to feed. once they feed for you it are prety nice snakes to have. the venom is prety strong. but with all venomous snakes you should not get bitten at all no matter how dangerous they are you never know if you are going into shock. so just keep your fingers away from the pointy end hheeheheh

thnx for reply!
Well I saw a few animals for sale that eat mice..I also know that men are more likely to refuse mice or don't eat at all.The thing that keeps me from buying these wonderfull snakes is the venom. Some say it's very strong, some say it's mild venomous...
Do you got any clear info about the venom?According to WCH clinical toxinology recources(toxinology.com) it is less venomous then vipera aspis..They are also known for there bad behavior, but on some sites they discribe them as verry easy to handle..
It doesn't make scence
