I was looking for snakes today and I found an eastern king snake basking on a 2x4 piece of wood. I looked at it for a while and showed my neighbor and as I was releasing it I found a northern copperhead(one of the only true northerns Ive found around my property.)I also think that the copperhead may have been gravid. The king snake was covered in mud and kept making a weezing noise because its nostrils were covered in mud so I got some warm water and some q-tips and cleaned him off. I released them right back were I found them. I cant wait for spring and summer.
