Mark Isbell's general colubrids
Mark has always like the jungle corns, same as I have. Between Mark and Walter – Alberta is king of the weird jungle corns.
Here is Precious – I remember first seeing this snake over a year ago, 2003 holdback.
Another one under a bit different lighting. Neither picture does the snake justice, but you get the idea.
Here is Precious Too, or Precious 2. 2004 holdback.
Albino precious, 2004 holdback. Can’t wait to see the results of these 3 jungle corns.
This is some kind of hybrid. Mark could have some very cool hybrids in a few years with what he has collected.
The albino greyband was in shed and in it’s hide. The picture did not turn out, but it is a very cool looking snake.
This is a pure cornsnake – anery or ghost motley or something, 2004 holdback – very pretty!
Mark and I love indigos! This is a female he got from me in the “Great Indigo trade, 2004”. I kept the sister to that snake, mine is longer, but Marks is thicker.
This is one Mark and Kyle produced. I have 2 siblings, Katt now has 1 also. Mark’s is bigger – he must pump steroids into his mice.

Man, that first Indigo is THICK!!!
I was over there picking up my first breeding groups of Cals in 2003. I remember seeing a pic of some of the Indigos, and I said "Nice Mexican Blacks"...
Hahah -- Not quite, eh...?
It's a fun place to look around, wish I'd had more time...

2nd Jungle Corn is "Semi-Preciouss" LOL & she is in full blue in the pic BTW She was the little gray one with the blue head, but is now quite similar to "Preciousss" actually becoming lighter/tanner with every shed. Both them & "Albino Preciousss" are all true Jungle Corns 1/2 CK & 1/2 Corn & are from F2/F3 breedings. The other Hybrid as Ryan put it "some kind of hybrid" is pretty much it. It is the result of a 10 way Mtn. cross being bred with a Grayband. Its one of those AAA mutts, I haven't even sexed it yet, it will be a year or 2 before I need to worry about it.
Actually Ryan that female is one from mine/Kyle's too & is also sister to the 1's you recv. in the trade. I got the unrelated male from you guys that came from out east (Dwight Sawyers stock? pretty sure). Its funny how one is long & skinny & the other shorter & fatter. The short fat one is the one that started eating the very last #6 & the long slender one is #1 (first one ever hatched at Kyle's Woo Hoo!) Pics really show their irredisence (sp?) well. Thx everyone Mark
p.s. oh yeah the Corn is an Anery Motley, only Corn holdback of the year.
P.P.S. I use Canden Farms Mice, the best ones available to me!

For some reason Sheila and I thought that one was the one you got from us. Did we see the one you got from us?
Knowing that is a 2003, all I can say is holy thickness batman!! - better check the canden mice for growth hormone, lol I was worried I was overfeeding mine.

The male from you guys was the bottom one we didn't bother pulling out there Ryan as he was buried somewhere.
Katt pretty much weekly or sometimes every week & 1/2 in the winter. She has nearly doubled in the last couple months, especially now that she eats hoppers. she's been on a big growth spurt. Mark

Actually Katt I was thinking about the motley some more & I have a late 2003 female snow motley (US stock) that I got thru a trade & her & the 2004 anery are close to the same size. The Snow is a finicky eater & not a big eater, whereas the Anery is a lil piggy. I wonder how long until she passes the snow in growth. Also Albino Preciousss is growing like crazy. Won't be long & he'll be catching up to Preciousss. Can't wait until I can breed one of the 2 to Semi-Preciousss (2007?) I do get to try out the Variable King/Amel Corn cross male this season so it will cool to see what happens there. He looks quite similar to the 10 Way Mtn Cross above. I'm kinda hoping the 10 way cross is a female so he can breed her in the future too (2007?). I love watching Jungle Corns hatch. You never know what might come out for sure, but ya know you'll like it. Looking forward to seeing what happens this year. Kyle actually has a Killer one from last year too kinda similar to the "preciousss gang" same clutch as semi. Have to get some pics of him happening too, THX again Mark

Crazee Mark, crazee. I'm a weekly feeder and do not see that kind of growth. Perhaps I'm not moving up sizes fast enough.
That's it, I'm going all out on rat pinks/fuzz and growing the li'l worms!

Maybe Katt its because I usually feed multiple smaller prey items rather than one or 2 larger ones with most all the young ones. Its not uncommon for me to feed say to one that could eat a couple big fuzzies & be full like 5-6 pinkies instead or 1 that could take a 1 small adult a few hoppers instead. I'm a bigger fan of more smaller items then ones that are really big to them. Cost more in food though, but could be why the increased growth. I also only usually hold back the best looking of the best feeders. Semi was a slow starter, thats why Albino P. is so much bigger than her. I've also had a few people tell me some of my hatchlings are pretty big to begin with compared to some others they have seen in comparision. Lots of little factors & of course the Weight Gain 4000, BeefCaaake... BEEFCAAAKE!!! LOL Mark

Hahahahaha Mark, that's my favourite. BEEEFCAAAKE!!
I agree fully with you on the multiple meals, I find the snakes grow slender, but longer when fed several small meals instead of a big one.
Still crazee, course, I do see a bit of a size diff in the corns I got from you. The biggest is the anery striper. She's also the best feeder and will eat in shed.
