Lightbulb Points of interest.

Hey guys.. i just came back from Mexico and it seems there is some tension in the air... I just wanted to remind everyone that this site is a place for sharing and learning for reptile keepers of all ages and knowledge levels. If someone asks a question that you believe to be silly or basic, remember that you were a beginner once to and everyone has to start somewhere. If you have time answer the question or point them to a care sheet where they can learn the basics. Debating is praised here, but i just want people to try to keep things in context and remember these are debates and not arguments. So when you enter a debate keep your personal feelings outside the thread and remember you are giving your opinions and expect to be confronted with others opposing opinions. Lets keep it clean guys / girls and have fun!

Well said. I think its important for us to remember that as much as we like to debate we dont want to put these beginners off asking questions for fear they will be debated to death! LOL.

Heck ALL of us were beginners once and there is still a lot we dont know...I mean you may know a lot about snakes but then you all of a sudden need info on a leopard gecko and your a beginner all over again.

As for beginner mistakes. Try this on for size....I, the Iguanalady, fed my first iguana iceberg lettuce, grapes, eggs and massive doses of vitamins plus I had a UV bulb that was about 4 yrs old. Then one day I thought....I wonder if there is any iguana info on the Internet and the rest is history.
