Gecko medications

Hi all,

In the very near future I will be having some new Cyrtodactylus geckos comming in. Natural history knowledge and captive husbandry of these gems are not an issue for this kid. However, I am almost 100% sure (99.99%) that they will be wild caught. To be honest it's been a long, long time since I've worked with a wild caught reptile. My question regards worming new imports. What over the counter meds are being used these days? Fenbendazole?, metranitazole?, I know Ivermectin hasn't been used for reptiles in years. Also, if anyone has the med dose per gram weight of the gecko that would be appreciated as well.

I'm off to try to research this myself on the web, but thought I might as well post it here just in case there is anyone else wondering too.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

Melissa Kaplan has drugs and dosages on her website. I don't know if you're one of the ones who's for or against her, but it shouldn't matter in this case, the dosages are correct according to a vet I heard from.

Personally I love Parazap. Here's a link www.parazap.com I've used it for a long time now, with nothing but positive results.
