Just one question. In the questions and answers part. A person was wondering about their chameleons lazy eye. I just thought it funny how you thought you had to tell someone that already owns a chameleon that their eyes can point in two directions at once. lol
Dont you think someone would notice that the second they saw it at the store, or the second they opened the box at home. lol

most usually assume people are stupid, but no one could be that dence chris not unless they are litteraly blind.

Wade,

Let me state right out that I dislike the approach and tone you've taken in your post. If you did not directly intend your post to come across as extremely condescending, it did. I hope you will be more careful in the future because you've shown numerous times on this forum and others that you need to think before you post IMO.

Let me quote a part of my answer for you and then break it down since you obviously don't comprehend what I said. "My first inclination with your question is to make sure you are not observing a normal behavior where the chameleon is looking in two directions." This means that the first thing I'm trying to do is verify that the problem is actually a problem and not simply a matter of the individual not recognizing a natural behavior. I then went on to say "If, however, your chameleon is not doing so in a normal manner..." Here I stated that if in fact the situation IS abnormal, vet attention is required. You'd be surprised by the volume of questions we get where basic common sense seems completely lacking. You'd be surprised by how many people really have very little idea about basic chameleon physiology and behavior. Being thorough and making an effort to make sure this isn't simply a misunderstanding on the part of the keeper is part of giving solid advice. I believe you and I have had many a discussions stemming from where you failed to be thorough and in doing so, created the possibility for dangerous mistakes to be made. If you have solid advice you think should be passed on to the individual who wrote in, its one thing to send it along to be forwarded, its another to be condescending when there really is no grounds to do so.

Come on Chris, take it easy on the guy. Remember he is a business student that is gonna revolutionize the industry.

Thats a good way to get a chameleon business going. Slam the editor of a respected journal.

Galad/Wade, please tone it down. I read the Q&A, didn't see anything wrong, it's a matter of misinterpreting it on your part.

yea well i geusse so. Didnt mean for it to sound so condicending I was just wondering. Maybe you guys are just thinking oh well hes been trouble before he must be trying to start something now.
When in fact that person had the same post on either this site or anouther one. No one else seemed to feel the need to explain that chameleons can look in two different dierctions at once. Why do you? You dont think it might have been a bit condicending? lol
Carl grow up dude. It was a simple question, but hey what a surprise someone has blown it up to be somthing all big and important. How many times do I have to explaint that I will be breeding all sorts of reptile it is not a chameleon buisiness.

Kevin and meow are those comments really nessasary?

Dragon I can;t ask a question but carl can insult me. Oh ya that makes sence.

good bye
you all have fun, and try and learn to lighten up a bit.

maybe our paths will cross in the future and you can see what kind of person I really am. Not what you think of me from some stupid posts on the internet. How do you get tone out of words on the net anyways?

My response to the question on the E-Zine was in no way derogatory or condescending. You need to reread it and remember that the questions I answer in that Q&A are being viewed by many levels of experience every day. When you're answering questions being viewed by the kind of traffic the E-Zine gets (along the lines of over 1.7 million hits a year at over 100,000 visits), it is of absolute importance to be thorough and answer questions so that ALL readers are on the same page about what is needed in those situations being discussed.

You seem to be the only one that didn't think your post was inappropriate, take that as a sign and learn from it. You're never going to be able to make it as a reptile breeder if everyone but yourself finds you overly abrasive and condescending when you have no reason to be behaving that way.

lol now why didnt you just say that the first time chris.
And plus I know im an arse, I cannot help it sometimes, the evil gets the better of me. But if people are trying to judge who I am from some posts on the internet, then I dont know what to tell ya.
All I can say is its the internet. Tempers flare and posts are mis-read. You can always take people posts a certain way. Either negativly or possitively. Maybe there are other people who are wondering the same thing I am?
It really just seemed like common sence to me.
And kevin the probleme is your posts to me were meant to do nothing but make me upset, and go off. (I thought you were a cool kid untill that comment came up). But sorry Im trying to become a better person which means no more getting upset over stupid things like people posts on the internet. But it is deffinatly not coming easy.
Try to change the way you think. It's got to be the hardest thing anyone could do in life if you ask me
And I think we all need a leason. not just us on here but everyone the whole world. needs a major attitude adjustment.

again sorry guys it was only meant to be a question.

peace
