fresh shed - pink!

Here are some shots of my boa from today after he shed. He looks great!

The flash washed some of it out, but you can still see his pink. I was recently told he is a pastel, is this true??

Nice Boa the more I see of them the more I love those things. I'm trying to refrain from buying a half dozen myself. Trying to keep the number minimal for the time being, when I start to breed I'll probably end up holding back half of em for pets and breeders

Nice looking boa
I second that it resembles a hog island... at least the first half.

I think you could get away with calling that snake a pastel since it fits the description. It has a nice pink, clean appearance and faded out medallions on his sides. Because "pastelism" is not a proven trait but rather a term used to describe a certain look achieved through selective breeding I think it's fair to say that if it looks like a pastel, as yours does, then it is a pastel... if you want to call it something. The truth is that they are all really just normals, really nice normal boa constrictors. Nothing wrong with that though.
