Signatures! EVERYONE please read!!!

I know that you guys like to list everything that you own in your signatures, and that's great. However, incase you haven't noticed, we do have a 4 line rule that we ask you all follow when entering your signature. A lot of the times we get people saying that they didn't know, so here's where it gets pointed out to you..



The blue arrow clearly points to where it's stated that only 4 lines of text are allowed.. A space DOES count as a line, so keep that in mind when creating your signatures.

Thanks everyone for your time and if you notice that yours is over the limit, please change it to comply with the rule.

I had 4 lines before and I was told it was only 3 by one of the mods, has it changed?

Well I had a Savannah, a bearded dragon, armadillo lizard and a crested at the time when I was told to shorten it to three that's why I've just done it the way I do it now.

Less than 4 lines, not 4 lines or less - so 3 would be the maximum... I think

Maximum is 4.. How long ago were you asked to shorten it to 3?? As long as i've been a mod it's always been 4 lines max..

Hi Matt,
The way it reads is less than 4 lines, so a mod would be correct in saying 3 is the maximum - it's just worded wrong if 4 is actually the maximum.

Beaners, I have a feeling it was I who asked you to change it, but I would not have said 3. If it wasn't me, then it wasn't me. But no matter how it's worded, the general idea is that it's to be 4 lines or less. EITHER way, whether it's "less than 4 lines", or "4 lines or less", it doesn't explain why people think they can have 9-line signatures, now does it?

That's a GOOD point!
I was just defending the anonymous mod who said he had to have 3 lines max...
Should say "less then or equal to", and if you really want to get nitpicky, it should be "than" not "then"... LOL!

4 lines at what resolution? Maybe it should be set to a maximum number of characters?

RMBoltons signature is 3 lines at 1024x768 but only 2 at 1600x1200.

Then you also have font size to deal with. What if I had a sig with a font twice the size of everyone elses. it could take up twice the space(8 lines) yet still only be 4.

Haha Derrick. 4 lines on my monitor, how's that?. It's BIG. Otherwise, if someone's going to have a BIG GIANT signature on in BIG BRIGHT colours (including those that have been known to fry retinas such as lime green and yellow) then we'll just have to decide then...
