Might have to do it....
Well a person I've known for awhile made a mistake 2 yrs ago by listening to the pet store without doing any research herself. She bought a green Iguana and put it in a 20 gallon cage. She loves it to death but can't aford a bigger cage, and no place around here will take it she's tried every place as you know rescue Ig's are everywhere! Well it hasn't grown much but she feeds it a mix of greens on a daily basis, and it has colors like I've never seen before, but it needs a new home, and after 4-5 months of helping her look I think I might have to be the one to do the sheltering. I'm going to look at all the care sheets I can but does anyone have any ideas for a cheap enclosure for it or how I can make one? She doesn't even have the room for a large cage or else I'd just build one for her, I don't really have the room myself as I was saving it for future boas but I guess I might have to make room. Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah definatly do thats what I was thinking but I heard Iggy's need moderate humidity, the heat wouldn't be an issue but the humidity might be

My herp room wouldn't really be big enough for her and wouldn't want her running around on other peoples cages and stressing them out. I wish I had a big enough closet to do it.
I was thinking about the PVC/Screen idea myself but I need to humidity question answered first.

here a link to some links i posted earlier... theres some good cost effective ideas on them..
the green ig socoity has a bunch of great info on there.. espically one to raise up humidity... just look around the site and it will help you alot... it could be as simple as building a plywood box with a screen door.. some lights and 2x4's great site

Yeah definatly will, I don't know if they're rare colors or anything but I know out of all the Iguanas I've seen they were are brownish and dull green, he's like a bright lime green very nice, but expect quite a few pics with in a month

most young iggys will stay very bright green for awhile. mines a year old and its JUST barely starting to fade off. for humidity if you mist them once or twice a day they should be fine. if you provide a big enough waterdish he'll just soak in it when he gets dry. good luck with it! they can be a very rewarding pet to have around
PS. if you find hes haveig trouble finding the water put a bubbler in it. they have a hard time seeing still water. at least thats what ive been told and i had to do it for my iggy

Alright thanks I will definatly give him a big enough dish, he's like 2-3 years old and he's still got those colors but I do beleive his growth has been stunted for now, I know they grow to what the are predetermined to grow to but it's been slowed a bit.
