Any Parrot keepers out there?
here is a couple pics of my maroon bellied conure. He/she is a great talker and very tame however he/she hates my girlfriend and tries to bite her any chance it gets. I also have an Alexandrine Parakeet who will talk for hours but I have no idea what she is saying.

Girlfriends come and go,but,a bird will always be your friend. If however you choose the lady instead, shoot me a pm and I may take him/her if that's what you'd like. I have a cockatiel and he's great. Likes you to rub his head. Good luck with your bird...John...Richmond Hill

I use to have a two Budgies, and a male Cockatiel.
I would love to get another bird/parrot...but would probably go with something like a conure or such. I LOVE Nanday conures...big...pretty..just loud as all hell.

I have a budgie named Petie, who turned out to be a girl. Man what a female dog! Always lunging to peck me, but she is sooo cute! I just keep having to work with her. She spends hours chirping to her mirror and bobbing her head, and chewing on my fingers.
I fell inlove with a black lory at PJ's once, the bird and I just clicked. Horrible thing was I didn't have 1000$ for him... but some day I would love to have a parrot like that,or maroon bellied conure or quaker.

We have a Green Cheek Conure (my avatar). "He" is pretty good, likes to chew (bite) on toes though! LOL I think he talks sometimes but I don't know what he's saying.

When I was a kid my mom and grandma always kept Budgies, my grandma bought hers at a garage sale for $10.00 with the cage and it was 10 at the time that bird live for a great many years after that, it just died a few years back and she's been really depressed since she lost her 16 yr old poodle a year later, nice dog I've ever met oddly enough.
One day I want a nice Parrot or a Macaw my dad in florida has got a couple of parrots I'm trying to talk him into breeding so I can have a baby but he doesnt want to because he doesn't want to try and find homes for the babies, and he doesn't need the money by any means so they're just pets for him :-/

I do not have birds but have worked with many macaws such as blue and golds. scarlets, green wings, severe and military macaws. Also did work with one timnah grey. The Congos, er, grays in general in my opinion are the most intelligent birds I have come across thus far. It's interesting how they will chose 1 person to be their companion and everyone else is crap, lol. It's even more interesting how they can distinguish guys from girls. I have met a few birds, that prefered men over women, coming in as rescues.
But man, those are some beatiful pictures everyone. If I have the devotion and patience to work with them everyday, as it is exactly like owning a 3 yr old, I would have a red fronted macaw. Actually if I could I would take the red fronted back after spending 3 months retraining it.
I like the timnah up there, just gorgious. All the birds are very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

I've worked with a few birds. I'd decided to get myself a relatively small one.
I'd never planned on a lovebird (they were at the bottom of my list...) but the bird chose me. I wound up with Gozer, a black masked lovebird.
Gozer is really bloody smart, and reminds me of an amazon trapped in a little bird body. Fantastic pet (though he HATES my camera):
