Well for one, if you type "digital scale" in the search you'll notice we have talked about this a few times and you could find tips.

As for how much it should weigh, with those species you won't need anything very big. None get very large so many many scales would be good for you. I would simply go to Walmart or the mall and check a bunch out.

Just get somethign that weighs in grams.

Peter, I got a really decent one for Xmas. It's a Philips brand and the model is called Essence. It scales in g and oz, and a bonus is it weighs in mls too. That's good if you mix your incubation mix by weight.

When I went to my local walmart they did not carry them, the food store at the local mall had a food scale for around 50$

My scale was $16+$10 shipping. Does up to 5 kilos in .1 gram increments.

Digital scales work best when the mid-/upper limit is the range of the animal you are weighing. If you have a 30 g gecko, a scale with an upper limit of 50 g is best. This doesn't leave you room for larger animals. A scale of 500 g would be your best choice for most geckos. You don't want one larger than 1 kg. For a gecko, you would also want a scale with a tolerance of +/- 0.1 g.

An even better choice would be a triple beam balance which is precise, accurate (as long as you keep it calibrated), and has been around for decades. Digital scales can't compare.
