Question Snake ID help please!

I go to another reptile site and someone has been asking for ID of this snake.

It is a WC brought in by a student and apparently doing well, as it has NO problems eating on the teach's desk infront of the class.

I think it looks like some kind of rat snake, but then again, I don't know enough about snakes to make that kind of judgement lol

Thanks for any help!

Loks like a grey or black rat snake. Great snakes that get a good size.

I'm leaning towards black rat.

Find a nice place for it and let it go.

Well, black rats are pretty easy to take care of, plenty of caresheets out there.

Best of luck to whomever is taking care of it.

its a black rat snake. cute little guy. feed it a mouse every week give it a 10 gallon tank or rubbermaid (with air holes) give it a water dish, a hide box and a substrait of cypress, aspen, beta chips or even paper towel. what ever you prefer. enjoy the little bugger.
