New WD enclosure...pic

Just wanted to show off a little as I have just completed my new WD enclosure. It measures 6'Tx4'Wx2'D, made from 3/4 inch birch plywood and plexiglas.

I wanted to build another enclosure because I recently aquired an Adult Male WD to go with my 3 1/2 year female. As you can see the lights are inside the cage now so I built a sort of barrier so they can not get to the lights, basically I just built sides to go around the lights and covered them with screen.

The other light is hung so that the WD can't get to it, I affixed it to the bottom of the highest shelf. I also have a warm mist humidifier in with them right now and the humidity is right at 70%.

Take care, hope you like it!

Really nice, wish I had the time to set up a water dragon enclosure. The pet smart in Saratoga (about an hr from me) has a nice water dragon set up. Nothing like that but 100 times better than most pet stores who keep 3 water dragons together with a small dish of water.

Thanks, it really turned out good. I finished the inside with polyurethane, it looks nice against all the plants I have in there as well.

The bottom front of the enclosure is 24" high so the dogs and cats running around don't spook the new tenants but apart from that it's all plexi. I wanted something that was nice but also more than enough space for at least 2 and maybe 3 occupants.

Here's a pic of one of the new tenants, no name as of yet...(any suggestions?) Take care,

DD
