New pics, differences in my albigs...
Then he was scooped off of the floor before she saw him coming. Hes 3ft 6 inches and 5.5 lbs, shes 6ft 3 inches plus and 29.5lbs.
Shadow 4ft (a bit more actually) 10.5lbs, and Zeus 3.5ft and 5.5lbs, Shadow is half banded WT from Rob Faust, Zeus is 100% banded WT from Frank Retes.
Striking differences, and similarities.

Not a chance in the world, the smallest of their cages ..
Would hold 4 of those 54 7/8 inch reptiletubs inside of it with more space available. I believe I stated above that I would never put the 2 males together in the same cage, but outside of their cages they get along good. This of course is Sobeks cage, I cant put either one of the 2 males in there or she would kill them.

Oh, the striped one is Zeus, hes a cape banded whitethroat from Frank Retes of Goannaranch. The Continous bands of connected spots and their ancestors origin of the cape of South Africa gives them this name. For whatever reason they are considered dwarfs among Albigs they average 3.5-4.5ft in total length. Shadows father was a cape banded WT, and Sobeks father and grandfather were cape banded WTs, but she picked up most of the pattern from the BT (her grandmother), and her size.

That cage is 10ftx5ftx4ft...
It has 2ft deep of dirt, a 3 level Retes stack for basking, and a cement tub to soak or drink in. This is the biggest of the cages. Sometime soon Ill be building another cage for Zeus, and adding tree limbs to Sobeks big cage.

Actually thats the minimum space Id consider even keeping a large monitor like Sobek in, remember shes very very big, therefore she needs alot of space. People dont consider that when they buy water monitors, croc monitors, niles, blackthroats, etc. Many just want a big, impressive, monitor, they dont consider what it needs when it grows up, that doesnt take long at all, a year, maybe a bit more.
