Why can't I post pics?

Seems like I've tried everything but can't post a picture in any
of the forums. I've tried right clicking on a picture, going to properties, and copying the address and pasting it in the script prompt and it still doesn't work. I've coppied the URL address too but still no pic. Very, very frustrating, I'm using windows xp professional.

Send a message via ICQ to Bartman
upload the picture you want into your ssnakess.com gallery.

Then right click on the image that you want to post. Copy and paste the URL in between image tags. They are {img} URL {/img} except use the ][ brackets. I didnt use them as it would think im trying to post a picture.

Good luck

Country:
Where online are your pictures? Are you using the URL for the picture itself (correct), or the URL that shows in the address bar on the browser when you visit the picture in the online gallery (won't work)?

Edit: The pic in your gallery works for me... my code looks like ['IMG']http://www.ssnakess.com/photopost/data/504/6957100_1726-med.JPG['/IMG'], except the 's aren't really there. Does that not work for you? Also, I've had images not work because the URL was too long. Nice cage by the way!

It just keeps getting better. I can't even find the link to the gallery.

There is a little camera icon beside user name on the left of your post. You can access your gallery form there. Once you are in your gallery you click on the photo to bring up the large version. Then right click on the large version of the photo, click properties, copy the URL and put it in the img code. That should work.

Good Luck

I even tried this:
1> Upload your picture(s) to the galleries.
2> Select the picture you wish to post and open it.
3> Right click on the picture with your mouse.
4> Go to properties.
5> Highlight the adress with your left mouse button.
6> Hit the CTRL and C button together. The picture path is now saved.
7> Create a new thread where you would like to display the picture.
8> When you are making your thread you will see a IMG button above the color bar. Click that button.
9> In the new box hit CTRL and V button together and it will paste the path to your image.

It's not me, please say it's not me. I need to get this computer checked. I give up, but thanks for all the help.

Those are EXACTLY the correct steps to post a pic.. It is weird that you keep coming up with an "x."

The path on your X is "http://http://www.ssnakess.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=29822&password=&sort=1&cat=504 ". It should end in .JPG or something like that; perhaps you didn't copy the complete URL.

I checked all the posts where you tried to post a picture. They don't end with a picture extension. So I think CamHanna is right.
