Lucky customer!

Back in September we attended the T.A.R.A.S reptile show in Calgary, Alberta and we brought some amazing dragons with us. Last night I received an email from one of our great costumers Jim Dyke of A Dragons Tale and he wanted to show us how some of his dragons turned out. Needless to say Jim is ecstatic with the way they have turned out. I wonder why! I just had to share…

They are, on the left- Hypo Orange X Chris Allen Red and on the right- Super Orange German Giant X Blood/Sandfire

Those are some beautiful dragons. For some reason I haven't had as much interest in Beardeds as I have in the past thats why I haven't expanded my collection past two, but that's probably because I can't find any of that color in my price range at the moment.

That dragon on the right however has a leg kind of like my female Sandfire Red x Gold which I got from Dachiu. It kind of walks funny with its back legs out stretched and dragon itself with its front as if it were impacted but it's not. The vet doesn't know whats wrong, calcium, d3, and vitamins seem fine it eats greens and crickets on a daily basis so I have no clue what's wrong with her, maybe she was just born that way...

I have been to his house many times and those pictures don't do them any justice. They are way more vibrant than that. I don't know what it is about photographing dragons that is so hard to get their natural colours. Some nice dragons there for sure.

Thank you so much for the kind words Shawn. It really means a lot. Having to sell my collection has really been hard. Being a full time single dad, working a full time job, maintaining my home and running/ maintaining the dragon business has just been too much for me to handle. It has been over 7-8 months now that I have had full custody of my little girl and she really needs my full attention. Also she has ringette and tonus of homework! The sale is almost complete and I’ll post an announcement as soon as everything has been wrapped up.

Yea Geoff it would have been nice to hold those back but you all know how much dragons eat and I need to pay the bills. But don’t worry I was able to hold back a few gems of my own..

Hey Greg. I saw those beautiful cages you made for Jim. Nice work! His dragons are living in style… I also find it hard to capture the true color of my dragons in pictures. It takes a few lighting tricks to get close but they always look better in person. Hypomelanistics are even harder to get nice pic’s of. I think the reduction of melanin and the higher amount of white makes the light reflect back at the lens giving them a washed out look.

Ill check and see if I have any of them when they were younger. I dont think I do but I'll still check and see. I may have some that are very similar though. Check back in a day or so. Very busy with getting the new Web page going. Watch for it also. WWW.thedragonstale.ca . There, there will be many pictures of all the dragons that I got from Tim (44 in total! What was I thinking? ) ) And a bunch from ICU Lizard. Theres also quite a few dragons there from our own Trina Carr, The lizard Lady herself!. Hope everyone enjoys it. Let us know what you think.
Jim and Jodi.
I almost forgot! I've also got some very nice dragons from Greg West. He and I together need to figure how to capture the true colour of dragons with photography. It is as hard as he says it is!
