What age? They certainly aren't born at that size.

3 years 7 feet 18 pounds for a male?

7 feet is about right but the 18 pounds is heavy JMO

my male is almost 3 and is between 6 and 7 feet but only weighs about 5 - 7 pounds

so do males usually only top out at 7 feet? "usually" i no that different parents have different results.. but juss in a general stand point.. its not that i cant keep an 8+ feet boa.. cause id love to have one that is dat big.. without powerfeedin that is.. sry if im rambling.. im still kinda drunk from the nys party ty

No need to be a Jerk. Are you okay today? You got annoyed cause no one could reply to your post earlier, now your treating the guy like he cant talk? Maybe chill for a day. No offense intended.

Diablo:

Adult males do not "normally average" 7ft. And 8ft male is unsusually large. Most of the sites member's adult FEMALE boas, average between 6-8ft, some as big as 9 or 10. But that is still very big for them. Males will normally average 5-6.5ft. They can get bigger, obviously, but dont expect them to easily hit 7ft unless you powerfeed.

If you want a snake that is 8ft or so....get a female.....feed her well, but not too much. Proper sized meal weekly. There is potential for an 8ft snake.....but never count on your snake hitting a designated length.

BoAddict: Your male is 6-7ft long and only 5-7lbs? My male is 5'8 or 10" and weighs 7.5-8lbs. Your snake must be VERY thin. mine is pop-can sized around or so........I am picturing a 6.5ft long fat corn snake size wise.......

Also, just a fact that I have noticed. Most boas will tend to gain all(well most) of their length, then they will start to fill out. So you could have a boa that just reached almost its top lenth but still be thin, while one the same size is thicker. This boa would have just already filled out and be pretty much full-grown.

no my boa is about pop can size too. ive never measured him but the length was just a guess the weight is pretty accurate as i just stand on a scale and then i pick him up and see how much i weigh again.

weve been through this b4 and everyone almost always over exagerates sizes and weights

and sorry if you thought i was being a jerk but lazy typers are a peeve of mine as far as im concerned when you speak like that it does not translate into good reading

.......Human scales arent very good to weigh snakes IMO. I am not exagerating my snakes weight. I use a postal scale that measures in 5g increments, from 0-50lbs. I would say that your boa is probably closer to 10lbs.

I understand what you mean about lazy typers......its just that you showed "annoyance" twice in one day.
