Swimming with our gators (pics)
Every day at 1pm during the holidays there is a crocodilian presentation at Little Rays Reptile Zoo. The last thing that is done is that a couple of zoo keepers go in with the 2 large gators and the public get to see them interacting and a talk is given while in the water with them.
Anyway, I got to go in with them last week. Lotsa fun. Must do it again sometime.

awesome!
Don't know if I would do that if I was given a chance, properly, but takes quite a bit of courage to do that.
Great job!!
Awesome shot!!

Baz, I can't see the pics, they are both little red x's. I've right-clicked and chosen "show image" but it doesn't work...

Awsome pics Baz, The kids and I were there last week to catch the show it was excellent. It would be quite the experience to get into the water with them.

That would be an awesome experience to be in the water handling largish gators but my brass monkey ball$ aren't nearly as big as yours i guess.. I'll play with rattle snakes no problem but gators pass the limit for me i think.

The craziest part was when I was holding onto the female and I had to keep an eye on where the male was the whole time.. u don’t wanna step on a submerged 10ft gators head for obvious reasons. Anyway I looked to my left and saw him in the corner of the enclosure on top of the water. I looked away for 10 seconds and he was gone.. and then I felt him brush along my lower leg and saw him submerged and on the floor near my feet in the water. That was such a rush!

BAZ:
Wicked, that must have been fun taking on the big gator in pic 1. I only saw a gator like that a carnival show but no wrestling just sitting there wishing it was in a marsh I bet.
Great pics.

You got to love the American Allys..so mellow and dog-like (well most of the time) if they are not hungry....I have to check out the enclosure set-up.
