Slannesh -
We bought it as a Purple Moon Crab (Gecarcinus quadratus)

As for houseing he is a in a tank with a substrate 6 inches of wet sand as the bottom layer, with a 6 to 12 inch layer of a sand/soil mixture on top of that. He has branches for climbing and for hiding. He has a 2 water shallow bowles one for food the other for soaking in and then a misting twice everyday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they need to be able to at least get to a dish of brackish water?
