Ivermectin For Mites ??

Was wondering if anyone here had tried Ivermectin to control mites ?? I know it works well in Dogs and other large animals and is very safe to use in them ie can give very large doses with out worry. I know in dogs, cattle and horses it controls internal as well as external parasites I give it to my dogs once a month to control ear mites, fleas and worms, as well as to prevent heart worms. Was trying to find out if it's safe for reptiles?? Could just inject it into their food to give it to them. Anyone have any experience with useing this stuff ??
