Unwilling to eat.

My dragon has been here for about 4 solid days now and he still doesn't seem to be very interested in eating much. He's not scarfing his crix like I expected and is really really not very interested in his greens. I do see where he is eating some pellets but not much. Could he still be stressed from relocation? I will add that he is drinking well though. Any help is very appreciated.

Maybe it is about to shed? One of mine does not eat as much when this happens or perhaps it is a slow grower. Again, one of mine would only eat a couple of crickets a day when another would eat 20 even though there was only a couple of days difference in age. Do you let it bask for a couple of hours before you introduce the food? Has it been basking? Do you know what the breeder was feeding it? Perhaps the enclosure is too big? Just some thoughts...

There are basic husbandry techniques that if not followed can cause a myriad of problems. In order to give you an answer based on fact and knowledge, you need to answer some basic questions.

How long have you had your BD?
How long have you had this problem?
Where did you get your BD (breeder, pet store, rescue…)?

How old is your BD?
How big is your BD (length, weight)?

How big is the enclosure?
What are the temps?
What type of lighting do you use?
What is the substrate?

What is your BDs diet? Be detailed here, type and size of food.
DO you supplement? If so what and how often?

When was your BDs last fecal?

Do you use any chemicals to clean the cage? If so what are they?

Answering these questions is a good starting point. Anytime you have a question about the health of your animal, this info should be included so you can get educated answers not a blind guess.

ok you said that he is drinking alot... You might want to try soaking him in warm water( about 86 degrees) it might be constipated. one of my breeding females will do that as well. I bathe her twice a day and then all of a sudden she will pass a fecil and she will start eating again.

Did you buy from a breeder or a pet store?

1. I've had him for 4 days now.
2. He's been reluctant to eat for 2 days.
3. He came from a breeder.
4. He's 2 months old.
5. He's 7" and 18g.
6. He's in a 20 long.
7. His temps are 111 basking and 88 cool.
8. His basking light is a 40w incandescant. His uvb is exoterra 5.0
9. His substrate is non-adhesive shelf liner.
10. He gets shredded collard greens and turnip greens. 3/8" crix and rep cal juvie pellets.
11. I supplement with rep cal calcium with D3 on all food except pellets and rep cal herptivite 3 times a week.
12. He gave me a nice fecal between 4pm and 5:30 pm today.
13. I clean with peroxide and vinegar and rinse till the hot water runs out.
Thanks everyone.

I personally think he/she needs more time to settle in. If it were me i wouldn't really worry until about 1-2 weeks pass by. By then he/she should be settling in and should start eating.

UPDATE!! Good news. For breakfast Earnhardt ate 3 crix. At 2pm he ate only one. But at 7 pm he gobbled seven and even munch on some pellets after I misted him. Thanks for advice all! I'll notify if anything changes.
