Why would you want to do that?

cooling is not necessary for Leos to breed which is the only reason anyone would really want to bruminate (sp)? A reptile under normal circumstances...

many people reduce the light cycle for a few months in the winter to stimulate breeding in their leos and some take it a step further by lowering overall temperatures SLIGHTLY. But neither is specifically necessary to get Leos to breed.

As to the specific answer to your question... it depends what you're trying to accomplish.

no hibernation is necessary in leos to stimulate the breeding season? I have a male leo that has been off heat for 2+weeks I was going to hibernate for breeding purposes. would this be sufficient without hibernation?

All you need to do is put the male in with the female, play some Barry White and then magic happens....LOL

No need to go to any extra trouble with leos. Just put them together and , presto!, you'll get eggs

thanks for the replies, I did not hibernate him, i put him back on heat for a day and am introducing the females tommorrow, If a female has semi-developed infertile eggs inside of her when they mate will those eggs be fertilized or will I have to wait until the next clutch?

Thanks,
Tyler

You'll have to wait until her next clutch. Good luck!
