Boa-introductions....anyone got a line for the boys to use?
Hi there folks:
I was cleaning up some memory cards from my camera this weekend and got a few shots. Not my best work but decent. Took these photos almost purely in the dark and through plexi-glass doors.
I did not want to disturb these pairing I am trying this season. I need to get better photos without the plexi-glass next time I think. Photos were taken minutes after introduction. Can' t wait to see the tails in position.
Male Coral Albino x Female Salmon, gotta wonder what they are saying.
"Hey baby, what’s your sign......breed alot around here?"
"Hey baby where you think your going? I love the chase.....
Male Albino x Female Colombian (proven 2004).
"Let’s find a nice quite place in the dark away from Mr. Paparazzi and see if your my soul mate."
LOL, yeah yeah cheezy pick up lines.....but I never picked up a boa at the club....
Hope you all enjoyed the photos.
Cya...
Tony

EVERYONE:
Looks like lights go out, its pitch black.......with a light sound of Barry Manilow in the background. I took my chances and peeked in tonight on them and primed the camera for dark photography. Slowly creeped up on them and flask, flash, flash, flash and flash and ran to the kitchen with some expose sex photos. This one turned out the best from dark photography through plex-glass and in a rush.......I need my paparazzi license.....
Albino x Salmon look nice but I will not get too excited till I see more of the signs that get me totally positive.
Cya...

EVERYONE:
Thank you for the kind comments. We are excited but won' t jump nutz here till I see some babies.........once that happens, I know I will need a personal doctor here to keep the heart under control. This and a few other pairings will be my 1st shot at boa morphs. To see so many varieties in a litter will for sure put the stress on the heart
PHIL:
If it turns out this Salmon is Heterozygous for Albino, then I expect this litter ratio.
25% Sunglow Boas
25% Albino Boas
25% Hypo Het Albino (Het Sunglow) Boas
25% Normal Het Albino Boas
And hoping the Coral gene just makes gorgeous coloring in all.
If it turns out this Salmon is not Heterozygous for Albino, then I expect this litter ratio.
50% Double Heterozygous Sunglow Boas
50% Normal Heterozygous Albino Boas
I needed to check into it and was confirmed these ratios are correct.
Cya...

BOIDSUNLIMITED:
Both girls in those photos are at 6 foot now and ranging from 26 - 29 lbs weighed in October 2004. Each female rips into jumbo rats or 1 - 3 lbs rabbits. The Colombian is a proven breeder earlier this year. Now I want the Salmon to do the same.
